Their ethnic ancestry appears to be 100% Anglo-Saxon and is about evenly split between English, Icelandic, Dutch, and German. Though they lived in West Prussia for several generations, their branch of Mennonites were mostly Dutch in origin. Probably no more than 5 percent of their ancestry is from what was once Prussia. The majority of their German ancestry is from further south (Rheinland-Pfalz, Alsace, Switzerland).
